„I would like to have a job that enables me to see at the end of the day what I have done. Welding, turning, milling, shaping – that’s my world.“

Jonathan,
industrial mechanic trainee at Refratechnik

If one’s older brother already works as a toolmaker, and one loves working with metal, the path leads you directly to a handcrafting job with Refratechnik. Jonathan found his dream job with us, and started his training as industrial mechanic in 2020. He came into contact with us at a vocational training fair that we attend regularly – as well as schools – where we speak directly with young people to inform them about the “unknown” refractory technology and to get them interested in all the possibilities at Refratechnik.

At Refratechnik, we work together like a train of gears. Every gear meshes with the others, and it runs.

As an industrial mechanic trainee, Jonathan is also responsible for maintenance and repairs. He appreciates our familiar working atmosphere, communication at the same level with short paths. But most of all, he is fascinated by the ultra-modern equipment of our trainee workshop. The machines and possibilities for metalworking are his world. But also the possibilities for further education, like master technician for example, are highly appealing.

And not only for Jonathan: Thanks to our employee training and the responsibilities that we entrust our trainees with, a very special togetherness is created as well as a workplace culture from which also our customers benefit. Because, like with Jonathan, we attach great importance to well-trained employees who continue their further development and meet highest quality demands. With us, the guiding principle “Train the best” is lived throughout the company, and is the basis that enables us to offer first-class refractory products and solutions to our customers.
